If I embarassed easily...

So - if I embarassed very easily, today I would have been embarassed. We went to Subway to get a $5 foot long for lunch and I decided I needed to go to the restroom. I went into the restroom, the door closed behind me, and all of a sudden I noticed that there was no door handle. I thought to myself, this might be an issue, but I went ahead and just went to the bathroom because I was already in there. Well lo and behold, when I went to get out, it was a problem - I couldn't get out of the bathroom. And, in the process of me trying to get out, the door became locked. I tried called Jed, but he did not answer his phone - it was in the Tahoe of course. So, I began to pound on the door and try to get someone's attention. I was just standing in the bathroom laughing at the fact that I was locked in. Finally, a guy tried to open the door and asked if I was locked in. I said "Yup, I am". So, he said he would go get someone. Someone came back and tried to open the door and found it locked so he went to get a key. Finally - I got out of the bathroom, only minorly scarred for life, lol. Of course Jed had to make fun of me!!

Well - it's been awhile - I have been busy with student teaching and trying to figure out summer plans. At this time, it looks like I will be teaching summer school at Washburn Rural High School from 8am-noon Monday - Friday through the month of June. Also, the first week of June I will work afternoons in the Leadership Office during RYLA. Then in July, hopefully my parents and I will go to LA to see my brother and then my mom will come to Topeka to spend a week or so with me so we can do wedding stuff and shop for a wedding dress! I'm really excited for that. Well, nothing much else is new - just loving having a fiance and working a lot for free! Can't wait to graduate May 17th!!

Well - this week has been a great week so far! I found out yesterday that I was accepted into the graduate program that I applied to. Also, today, I officially accepted a job to teach math at Washburn Rural High School next year. I am SOOO excited.

Well - it's been awhile since I've written an entry - I have been busy starting student teaching and spending time with my fiance - that's right fiance! jed and i got engaged on dec 7, 2007, and we are incredibly excited. He proposed to me on the Plaza in Kansas city at the JC Nichols fountain, by asking me to throw in a penny and make a wish and then after showing me the ring asking me if the ring would do for my wish...after i turned around jed got down on his knee and asked me to marry him - of course i said yes, i actually said yes before he had a chance to ask! since then we have been trying to start planning - but we aren't getting married until summer 2009, so we have awhile to plan...

in other news - i got my gall bladder out over christmas break so i hope that goes well

- jed and i bought our tickets for california today - may 8-13, i'm pumped!!

- student teaching is going pretty well - i am already teaching algebra 1 and will take over algebra 2 the beginning of february

well if i would wait a few more hours, it will have been 2 months since my last entry - life is so stinkin' crazy...i have 3 more days of class left until i start student teaching january 2nd. I found out that I am student teaching at Washburn Rural with a lady that teaches algebra 1 and algebra 2, so that should be fun, i hope it all goes well....jed and i are doing great, we've had some really great conversations lately, and things are progressing great...well not much else, just trying to finish my research project and a couple other huge projects, one class is totally done (except a weird self-portrait), one class all i have left is one homework assignment and a final, one class i have the presentation and the paper to turn in, and one class i have the paper to turn in, i am going to be doing a lot of writing, but luckily my computer is back in my possession after only $120 work done on it - thank goodness for a great friend that does labor for free...well i best get back to being busy....

It's my birthday!!! This has definately not been like any other birthday - usually I have fun on my birthday and take some time to have fun and celebrate -but not today - i have observation, meetings, class, and work until about 11 tonight, but it still is a fun birthday - i have so many great friends and a great boyfriend and a fantastic family...the best thing happened today that totally made my day - my mom called and asked if i had a minute and i said yes, and all of a sudden i heard 20 some 3rd graders singing me happy birthday - she had her 3rd grade class sing me happy birthday over the phone - it was absolutely adorable and i started to cry, lol...good cry definately, lol..

so i seriously injured my toe tonight....i was getting ready to come down to work and i picked up my sweatshirt, which i forgot had a box of DVDs under it, and the DVD's fell from the counter onto my toe...i now have a cut on my toe and it is swollen, and it hurts, lol..but i guess i wil stop being such a wimp...dylan's wedding was this weekend - it was awesome to hang out with shannon, devaney, andy, stephanie, and jodi! i got to spend most of the wedding day with jodi which was great, i miss her a lot, and i'm glad we've kept in contact and stayed great friends...the wedding was really nice and i hope they are very happy! well off to do homework

well - here's the update...jed and i's 2 year anniversary was great! we ended up going to texas roadhouse for dinner and then later that evening i took jed out north of town to look at the stars, it was very romantic! lol...i ended up getting him the first season of heroes and some accessories for his grill...he got me the third season of grey's anatomy and 2 dozen beautiful purple and red roses! it was a great time..my parents came up this past weekend and it was a great time, we went to family day and the football game followed by some great shopping, dinner with jed's parents, church on sunday, more shopping, and then they left :( - it was sad, but i will see them in a few weeks when i go to johnson for fall break...

well today is jed and i's 2 year anniversary - crazy that it has been this long, i love him more and more everyday! we have had a great 2 years, and hopefully it can only get better!
